Gloves are often designed with more than one layer of material. Using more than one layer allows us to provide a durable glove with additional properties such as cut and puncture resistance, thermal insulation, and water resistance.
Working with customers, we have found that the donning and doffing techniques outlined here can increase the durability and longevity of work gloves.
DONNING
As shown in Figure 1 and 2, make sure all fingers are aligned and seated when putting on your gloves. Use one or both of these techniques to seat your gloves.
DOFFING
As shown in Figure 3, slightly bend the fingers of the hand from which you want to remove the glove, and grip the fingertips with your other hand. This will keep the layers seated inside the glove.
